Hints.
Using a thicker yarn for the lettering will help it ‘stand out’
e.g. white 4ply for the main colour and pink double knitting for the lettering.
To prevent holes forming between the edge of the letters and the background, e-wrap the needle adjacent to the first needle selected for the pattern on the same side as the carriage with a separate strand of the background yarn.
The Capital lettering has no long floats; the lower case lettering has a few.
Either catch down any long floats when sewing in ends or, on each row, lift
the centre of any long float and lay it into the hook of the needle directly
above. The float will then be caught into the fabric without showing through
on the right side.
Break yarn being used for letters after knitting the first word ‘Babies’. Remember to rethread the yarn used for the letters into the yarn feeder before knitting the second word.
