Skirt (starting at bottom edge)

.Cast on 64sts

Knit 3 rows

Row 1: K2, P60, K2

Row 2: K2 *(k2tog) 2 times, (yfwd, K1) 4 times, (k2tog) 2 times, rep from * to last 2 sts, K2

Row 3: K

Row 4: K

Repeat these 4 rows until work measures approx. 12 cms (13 patterns)

Yoke

Next Row: K2, P to last 2sts, K2

Next Row: K19, sl1, k1, psso, place a marker, k2tog, k18, sl1, k1, psso, place marker, k2tog, k19

Next Row: K2, P to last 2 sts, K2

Continuing in stocking stitch, decrease either side of the markers on knit rows until there are 32 sts remaining.

Eyelets

Next Row: K1 *yfwd, k2tog, rep from * to last stitch, K1

Next Row: P to end

Hood

Cast off 5 sts at the beginning of the next 2 rows (23 sts)

Next Row: K1, increase in every st to last st, K1 (42 sts)

Next Row: K to end

Next Row: K2, p to last 2 sts, K2

Repeat these last 2 rows for 3 inches.

Cast off and join the seam

Hood Edging

With right side of work facing pick up and knit 5 sts from cast off edge, 45 sts around hood and 5 sts from the other cast off edge (55 sts).

This is approximate you may have to adjust the amount of stitches

Cast off in rib

Bottom Edge

With right side of work facing pick up and knit 60 sts across bottom of cape.

Rib 2 rows

Cast off in rib.
